Fire razes garment store in Boracay

A fire hit an establishment in Boracay while people welcomed the New Year. The report said that the fire broke out around 12:30 a.m. in a plastic garments store in Boracay Station 3. Initial investigation said that a firecracker which landed the roof of the store caused the fire. The fire reached the first alarm and was put under control around 12:45 a.m. no casualty was reported in the incident. Authorities estimated the cost of the damage from P50, 000 to 1000, 000.

2 Koreans critical after Jet Ski collision

A Korean couple is now in a critical condition after the Jet Ski they were on lost control and collided with another jet ski in Boracay in Aklan over the weekend. The victims were rushed to a nearby hospital. The two were injured after their jet ski collided with another jet ski of Chinese national. The initial investigation showed the victim’s Jet Ski may have gone out of control shortly before the collision because of big waves. The local coast guard authorities are investigating the incident.
