700 kilo double dead meat seized

The meat inspectors recovered 700 kilograms of double meat sold in a market in Quezon City. Authorities form the said place conducted operations in Balintawak Market at 3 a.m and seized the 700 kilo double meat which was reportedly delivered just hours before the operations. The said the stalls of the double meat were abandoned by the vendors and the meats were just placed in plastics and bags. Some were seen scattered in roads. Also the meat inspectors received report from the costumer that expired products were also sold in the said market. The authorities recovered 40 kilograms of expired frozen products like hotdogs, luncheon meat, cheese, bacon and margarine. They said the vendors have removed the products expiry date so it will not be identified and it will be sold to their customers. The public is advised to always check if the meat stand shows a receipt of meat inspectors to signify that the products sold have been inspected by the team.
