2 die in Albay landslide

Authorities confirmed the death of two missing people who are washed away by strong currents in a flooding in Albay province. The two were heading to an evacuation center around 5:30 p.m. in Manito town due to days of non-stop rains that triggered floods and landslides. The landslides also forced about 3, 000 people to flee their homes. The evacuees were not allowed to go home until authorities confirmed that their areas are safe. Meanwhile the governor declared a state of calamity in the whole Albay due to the damages brought by rains in different parts of the province.
