Man stabbed hurt

A 31 year old man was stabbed for still unknown reasons while walking along Tabunok Public Market, Talisay City. The victim was a resident of sitio Mananga of the same barangay, sustained a single stab wound on the upper right arm. He was rushed to the hospital but was later transferred to the VSMMC in Cebu City for treatment. According to the report the victim was walking alone near the parking area of the public market when someone appeared and attacked him. The victim was failed to get a glimpse of his attacker because the incident happened so fasts. The armed men escaped. The police are still investigating the incident

Father and son arrested for shooting cabbies

Two taxi drivers were injured after they were shot by the two men in barngay Labangon. The two taxi drivers suffered graze wounds they were shot by a 43 and 20 years old, it was a father and the son. It is said that the victims were drinking together with their other friends along A. Lopez St. around 3:30 p.m when the suspect passed by. The victims and their companion reportedly turned their attention on the suspect, a suspected thief and gave him an unsolicited advice to stop his illegal activities. The victims reportedly went after the suspect but they were instead welcomed with gunfire. A bullet grazed the victim shoulder while the other also suffered grazed wound on the head and left side of his body. They were taken to the hospital for treatment. Charges will be filed against the suspects.

Man shot dead in Danao: 3 men stabbed in Alcoy and Carmen

A man was shot dead in Danao City, while three men were stabbed in separate incidents in Alcoy and Carmen towns. The suspects in two of the three incidents are reportedly friends of the victims themselves. In Danao City the incident happened past 4am during benefit dance in Barangay Looc. The victim a 28 year old was taking pee when the suspect shot him on the side. The victim’s companion rushed him to the hospital but it was declared dead on arrival. No empty shells were seen at the crime scene. The victim’s family is set to file charges against the suspect.
Meanwhile in Alcoy town a victim 20 years old sustained a wound on his left face when his friend stabbed him after the latter got irked when the victim allegedly told their friends that the suspect has tuberculosis. Reportedly the suspect went to the victim’s house to comfort the latter, but the altercation ended with the suspect pulling out his two inch knife and stabbing the victim on the face. Residents who saw the incident rushed the victim to the hospital while the suspect voluntarily surrendered to the responding police. The suspect agreed to shoulder the expenses of the victim’s medication.
In Carmen, a 61 year old man was placed under arrest after he stabbed fellow customers in videoke house reportedly without reason. The incident happened at barangay Poblacion. The suspect and the victim’s group were drinking at separate tables in the videoke house. Suddenly an intoxicated then suspect reportedly approached the victim’s table and stabbed the two men. The other people in the bar immediately sought police assistance. The victim who suffered from the wound on his right arm was brought to the hospital. Frustrated homicide charges are expected to be filled against the suspect.

German found dead in Lapu-lapu

A German was found dead floating in the waters of Barngay Pajo, Lapu-lapu City. He was identified through his passport found on his pocket. The found floating body was few meters off the coast at 6 a.m. the responding policemen did not find a single wound on the victim’s body. The victim was wearing an orange polo shirt, black long pants, black leather shoes and wristwatch when found. No other things were recovered from the victim expect for the passport placed in one of his pocket. His body now lies at the Cosmopolitan Funeral Homes.

6 civilians hurt as gunmen attack in Southern Philippines

Six civilians were injured in an attack staged by armed men in the southern Philippines. The victims were on the victory party on winning village candidates in the recent village polls inside a gymnasium in Kiblawan, Davao del Sur province when armed men arrived and fired their automatic weapons towards them. The witnesses identified some of the perpetrators who were now subjects of the manhunt by police and military. Wounded victims were rushed to the nearby hospital. They all sustained gunshot wounds.

Plane crashes in Cagayan passengers and pilots are safe

Thirteen people including two children were miraculously unhurt when their plane crashed in Cagayan province in northern Luzon. The reports said that the plane was on its way from Basco, Batanes to Tuguegarao in Cagayan when it crashed along the Cagayan River in Barangay San Vincente in Iguig town around 1:30 p.m. the Iguig police and Barangay San Vicente conducted rescue operation that resulted in the successful recovery of all 13 passengers and pilots unharmed and in good condition. The rescuers said that all of the passengers are now under the care of the local government of Iguig. It also added that the police are coordinating with the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines to determine the cause of the crash.

2 Chinese nationals killed in Pampanga

Two Chinese nationals died in shooting incident at Fontana Leisure Park in Clark Field, Pampanga. The crime took place at Villa 3406 around 3:30 a.m. the victims were identified as Chinese nationals. The two were immediately rushed to a hospital but the other one was declared dead on arrival. The suspects were 48 year old and a Chinese national also was arrested by the elements of the police in Angeles City.

4 hurt in Zamboanga Sibugay

A grenade explosion took place at Sitio Matidao barangay Little Baguio in Isabela Zamboanga Sibugay. The report said that the suspect was a coal miner run and amuck and threw a fragmented grenade. Four victims were injured from the blast and were immediately rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment. As of this posting, the suspect is still at large.

Akrho member nabbed for rob-slay

A member of the Alpha Kappa Rho was arrested for his alleged involvement in the recent robbery in Mandaue City where in a Timex employee was killed. A 19 year old was arrested by the members of the Investigation and Detective Management Bureau of the Mandaue City Police inside his residence at Hill-Top barangay Casili Consolacion. The operatives swooped down on the suspect despite the absence of a warrant of arrest relying on the principle of hot pursuit operation. The police said that the suspect and his two companions are suspects in killing of the employee of Timex was robbed and killed by the suspects while walking towards Marcelo Fernan Bridge. The police also said that the group of the suspects are responsible for the series of robberies as well as drive by shootings in Mandaue City. They were also suspects in the October 31 drive by shooting killing at the 16 year old and the shooting incident in Paknaan on November 4 where in three people were also injured. Robbery with homicide, multiple frustrated murder and murder are possible charges that the police will file against the suspects.

Man shot dead in Toledo City

A caretaker was shot dead while sleeping inside his house at Sitio Minolos 1 barangay Matabang Toledo City. The victim was 53 native of Sitio Lukod Barangay Arpili, Balamban died of gun shot wound on the head and on his right shoulder. The victim’s body was lying on the bamboo bed already bathed with his own blood. The neighbors of the victim said that they heard several gunshots rang out but they did not know where it came from. Recovered from the scene were four empty shells of 9mm pistol, one slug, one live ammunition for 9mm and two magazines of Ingram machine pistol with 15 live ammunitions in it. The police said they still have to identify the possible suspect because the victim allegedly did not have an enemy.

Woman found dead in Dumanjung

A 27 year old woman was found dead few meters away from their house in sitio Mohon, barangay Cambuang Dumanjung. The woman was found by her live in partner on a grassy place beside a coconut tree, 19 meters away from their rented house. The victim has a wound on her face believed to have been caused by a blunt object. The victim may have been hit by a hard object in the face. Although they are not yet certain if it was the cause of her death. The responding police said that after the live in partner of the victim reported to their station they immediately went to the place of incident and found the woman’s body with wound on her face. They immediately brought the victim to the hospital but it was declared dead on arrival. The police said that the live in partner was a victim of criminal violence.

Pirates kill two militiamen

Two militiamen detailed as security escorts of a fishing boat were shot to death by gunmen believed to be pirates off Basilan province. The incident took place in the vicinity of Pandukan Island, Hadji Muhtamad town, Basilan. The investigation showed that three alleged pirates aboard a motorized banca intercepted and boarded the fishing boat while it was navigating the waters in the vicinity of Pandukan Island. The gunmen demanded a percentage share of the fishing boat’s catch. A shoot out ensued when the other victim refused to give in to the demands of the pirates that resulted to the militiaman’s dead. Afterward the gunmen boarded their motorized banca and escaped.

Man charged with housemaid’s rape

A man has been charged before a regional trial court for allegedly raping his 25 year old house helper while his wife was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Davao City. The court records showed that in the morning of November 23 the accused arrived from the hospital and instructed the victim to massage his back. He raped her afterwards. Medico-legal findings showed indicative result of penetrating injury in her genitals and that there was probable cause of the crime imputed against the suspect, thus the filling of the case.

Teenage suspect injured in shoot out

A minor robbery suspect was injured after he was shot when he tried to open fire at responding police at 12th Lacson Streets, Bacolod. The suspect sustained gunshot wound in his back. The suspect and his companions were discovered ransacking the Puer Sanctus Apartment at 13th Lacson Street which was occupied. The victim and the through the help of a concerned citizens in the said area, report to the police that her apartment was being ransacked by three unidentified males. It also added that when the victim arrived at her apartment she discovered that her belongings are gone. Among them were two black bags containing a laptop computer worth P75, 000, coin purse, transparent plastic worth P6, 500, two SD lite color black and light with charger worth P20, 000, assorted jewelries and watches worth P50, 000, two cellular phone worth P60, 000, two wallets containing assorted dollar yen denominations, a passport and ATM cards. The suspect was brought to the hospital for treatment and there is charges that will filled against him.

Cops blank on latest motor heist

Cagayan de Oro police are still facing a blank wall on the violent robbery incident that killed a habal habal driver. The fatality was a resident of Barangay 34 Yacapin Roxas Streets. The victim was succumbed to two gunshot wounds at the back of his body. According to the police then undetermined number of assailants took the victim’s ZRM 125 motorcycle but left his wallet and other personal belongings untouched. The incident is the latest in the string of violent heists in Cagayan De Oro in recent months, which criminals target motorcycle riding victims. The police recovered two empty shells of caliber .45 at the crime scene. It also recovered were a helmet, a pair of sandals, a cellular phone, the victim’s wallet containing his driver’s license and other documents belonging to him. Probers said that the culprits may be robbers who were only after the victim’s motorcycle.

3 cousins drown near Toledo Dam

Three cousins who went fishing for their breakfast never had the chance to come home and cook their catch. They were brought back homes lifeless after they drowned in the waters of a dam in barangay General Climaco Toledo City. Before the accident the three were went along with their three others cousins to the dam located in sitio Abayan. After they arrived, the cousins, who didn’t know how to swim, took out their nets and jumped into the muddy water. Then they sloshed through the breast deep river. It was their aim to catch fish that brought them farther from shore not the waters current. The other cousins who were not yet in the water saw them waving their hands and shouting for help. The two ran for help from the neighbors while the other one stayed. No one saw the kids prior to the accident because they were below the slope portion of the dam, which is 20 feet lower than the road. The residents together with barangay captain tried to rescue the kids. After three hour search the cousins who were in shirts and shorts were recovered from the bottom of the river. The bodies were brought to a funeral home and advised the parents allow an autopsy. The Toledo City mayor is willing to give financial help to the victim’s families. The big dam is being developed as a tourist attraction. It also said that swimming there is not available.

Drug pusher in two towns arrested

At least two drug pushers from Pampanga were arrested in separate police operations. A 39 year old a resident of barangay San Roque Dau First Lubao was collared after selling methamphetamine locally known as shabu whish was placed in a small heat sealed plastic. The local police arrested the suspect after receiving information that the sales of illegal drugs in a gasoline station at barangay Valdez. The suspect was detained at the municipal police station. In the other hand, 21 year old was arrested along 5th Street barangay Dapdap. The suspect was nabbed after the police received information that there was an ongoing pot session and selling of illegal drugs in said village. Recovered from the suspect were dried marijuana leaves placed in medium sized heat sealed plastic sachet. Charges on violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were being readied by police for the both suspects.

Cops nab bogus dentist in Pampanga town

Cop over the weekend arrested a man who has been allegedly practicing dentistry in Barangay Poblacion. The suspect was nabbed during an entrapment operation after claiming to be a dental technician. The chief prosecutor said that the suspect was the subject of a complaint by the Pampanga Dental Chapter. The suspect voluntarily surrendered to the police and two P500 bills were recovered from his possession. Also confiscated from the suspect’s clinic were various tools and equipment used in dentistry including macro lathe machine, rubber bowl, spatula, upper denture cast, and curver, among others. The suspect now is detained at the Pampanga CIDT as a case of illegal practice of dentistry has been filled in court against him

Call agent center shot in Kamputhaw

A call center agent landed in the hospital after he was shot by an unidentified assailant in Barangay Kamputhaw. The victim was a call center agent of Qualfon located at the IT Park. The investigation showed that the victim was drinking with his two friends at the area of Fiesta Grande along Escario Street when they got alarmed by a commotion past 10 pm. This prompted them to verify and in doing so saw a young man walking backwards while holding and aiming an unknown caliber of firearm. They subsequently witnessed the man fire his gun twice and seconds later. The victim’s are rushed to the Chong Hua Hospital for treatment while the assailant fled. The responding police failed to locate the suspect.

Woman found dead in Consolacion

A 25 year old woman allegedly took her life by drinking gasoline and hanging herself inside her home in sitio Sto. Niño barangay Lamac Consolacion town. The police have not yet been establishment the motive of the victim alleged suicide but her live-in partner had claimed that she became jealous after reading text message in his phone coming from a friend who is allegedly a woman. The victim is a native of barangay Pagatpatan Butuan City. Police said that when they arrived the victim’s house the body was on the floor, ostensibly lowered from where she had hanged herself. The police found a plastic bottle containing gasoline, a nylon rope and a blanket near her body.

Maguindanao vice mayor shot dead

A vice mayor in maguindanao province was shot to death. The victim was the town vice mayor was killed inside an apartment in Bajada, Davao City. The victim is the adopted son who has been accused in killing of 57 people in Maguindanao last year. 3 volcanic quakes recorded near Bulusan

Alert level 1 remains at Bulusan volcano with three new volcanic quakes recorded during the 24 hour observation period. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said its latest bulletin that wispy to weak emission of white steam was observed rising from the southeast and southwest vents of Bulusan during cloud breaks. No steam however seen from its crater. Residents in the northwest and southwest sectors of Bulusan volcano were also reminded to take precautions against ash fall. The Phivolcs said they will continue to monitor the activity of the volcano.

Cessna plane crashes in Laoag City

A student pilot was unscathed after the Cessna plane he was driving crashed in a residential area in Laoag City. The report said that aviation security’s initial investigation that strong winds could have caused the crash. The pilot of the plane failed to control the plane when it was struck by winds. 3 survive bolo attack

Three people though wounded survived an attack by a man in a coastal village in Zamboanga City. The incident took place around 11:30 p.m in the village of Talisayan 26 kilometers west of the city. The victims were brought to a local hospital for treatment. The police investigation showed that the victims were about to sleep when the suspect Romeo Macaso barged in and without any provocation hacked them. Macaso who is resident of Ayala village surrendered the police after the incident.

Child, auntie survive attack

An eight year old boy and his auntie survived an attack though wounded in a remote village in the province of Zamboanga Del Norte. It is reported that the incident took place around 11 a.m in Sitio Komolap Lakiki village, Sibuco town. The police said that both victims were admitted at the hospital in Zamboanga City the auntie was suffered bullets wounds. The investigation showed that the victims were at home when the suspect Samion Alih arrived and opened fire with the use of an M-16 armalite rifle. The police have launched a manhunt operation for the arrest of Alih who went into hiding after the incident.

Korean National arrested

Operatives have arrested a Korean national who is facing criminal charges in Zamboanga City. According to the report the foreign national was arrested around 1:20 p.m at Blue Beach Upper Calarian, four kilometers west of the city. The police identified the Korean national as a resident of Upper Calarian. The Korean national was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest fro the crime of violation of section 5in relation to section 6 of republic act 9262 or the anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004. The warrant of arrested was issued by the regional trial court and recommends a P24, 000 bail. The Korean national posted bail for his temporary liberty.

Widower killed, nephew wounded in attack

A 66 year old widower killed while his nephew was wounded in an attack in a west coast in Zamboanga City. The incident took place around 8:30 p.m in the village of Maasin, 13 kilometers west in the city. Died on the spot was a widower 66 year old due to multiple hack wounds in his body. Wounded was his 52 year old nephew who was admitted to a hospital for treatment. The police said that the victims were already sleep when the suspect named by Junel Salip barged into their house and hacked them. The suspect was immediately arrested by the responding police from the police station.

Drinking spree ends up bloody

Three of four drinking buddies landed in the hospital when their companion stabbed them one after the other in a remote place in the province of Zamboanga Del Norte. The incident took place around 9:30 p.m in the village of Silano Piñan town. The police identified the three victims who were all admitted at the hospital for treatment and all are in the legal age. The police said that they were allegedly stabbed with a hunting knife by the suspect who was arrested after the incident. The investigation showed that the victims and the suspect were having a drinking spree when suddenly a heated argument ensued between them. The suspect suddenly pulled out a hunting knife and stabbed the victim’s one after the other. Appropriate charges had been filed against the suspect.

Sexagenarian dies, mother hurt in gun attack

The police are conducting a deep investigation to unmask the identities of two motorcycle riding gunmen who killed a sexagenarian and injured a septuagenarian mother in an attack in Zamboanga Del Norte. Reported that the incident took place around 6:30 p.m in the village of Poblacion Manukan, Zamboanga Del Norte. Killed was a 60 year old woman while her 79 year old mother was wounded and is now undergoing treatment at the hospital in Dipolog City. The initial investigation showed that the victims were at the terrace of their residence when the suspects aboard a motorcycle opened fire. The responding policeman has recovered from the crime scene six spent shells of caliber .45 pistol. The suspects fled towards the direction of Jose Dalman municipality aboard a black and red motorcycle without a license plate. The police in Manukan town are still investigating the incident.

6 arrested for baby trafficking

Six persons including a couple and a mother who allegedly tried to sell their babies have been arrested by the police in Alabang, Muntinlupa City. The baby trafficking activity became known when a TV program received information about the babies for sale in Alabang. The TV crew coordinated with the Philippine National Police and the Social Services Department (SSD) of the Muntinlupa city government which formed a team to arrest the suspects. The team went to the Llanas Mall in Alabang where the negotiation took place. The PO1 police and informants acted as buyers of the babies. When the negotiation was done the suspects were immediately arrested. Rescued were a three month old baby and a one year old infant.

Parents, teachers alerted versus youth gang

Police in Iloilo are calling on parents and teachers to take an active in preventing members of a youth gang involved in criminal activities in the city from committing more crimes. The western visayas police director said that his men are still pursuing members of the dreaded True Blue Style (TBS) which is composed of minors and out of school youths. The TBS it said was the responsible for the killing of 13 taxi drivers and several robbery incidents in Iloilo City. Its members have been recruiting more minors, thus parents and teachers should help prevent it. The crime prevention starts at homes and schools, so parents and teachers should educate their children not to join gangs and must orient them on the basic safety tips against criminals. The TBS gang recruits minor’s members and requires them to commit crimes like robbing and killing taxi drivers as part of its initiation rites. It is received also information that the initiation rites of TBS gang include the rape of would be female members.

Cop sued for robbery

Robbery charges have been filed against a policeman who robbed a wine shop on Dacudao Avenue in Davao City. The city prosecutor’s office recommended filing robbery with violence and intimidation of persons against Police officer resident of Purok 10 barangay Bucana Davao City and assigned at the regional public safety battalion. The court records showed that around 6 p.m while the complaint was on duty as sales lady in the wine shop along Dacudao Avenue this city, the accused alighted from a black motorcycle and barged into the store pretending to be a customer. Then it declared a holdup and took the victim’s laptop, two cell phones and P60 cash. The victim was able to get the plate number of the motorcycle used by the suspect and reported the incident to the Sta, Ana police station. The police identified the owner of the motorcycle, a woman living at Purok 10 through registration documents at the land transportation office. The police showed the suspect who was seen carrying a laptop and boarding the same motorcycle used in robbing the victim. The suspect was arrested and brought to the police station. The owner of the motorcycle said that the suspect frequently borrows her motorcycle, she trusted him because he was a cop. The police recovered a laptop and a 9mm caliber pistol. The suspect is now the subject summary dismissal proceedings of the Philippine National Police.

Police have arrested the killer of a former government employee in Cagayan De Oro City after he allegedly committed the crime. The suspect was arrested at 6 p.m in Ramonal village Barangay Camaman-an in Cagayan De Oro City, but the city’s criminal investigation and detection unit has yet to release the name of the suspect and the details of the arrest. The arrested suspect was allegedly responsible for the death of a former employee of the department of environment and natural resources. The victim was jogging along 30th-31st streets in Barangay Nazareth in Cagayan De Oro City when a lone gunman emerged from behind and shot him at close range. The bullet entered the victim’s nape and pierced through his forehead. The victim was dead on arrival at a hospital. Before that the victim was had been receiving death treats prior to the incident.

Gang war seen in kidnap of student

Police are looking into fraternity gang war as the reason behind the so-alleged abduction of a high school student in Cagayan De Oro City. According to the head teacher the mysterious disappearance of the third year high school student could be part of a fraternity or gang initiation. The school principal was still on trip in Ozamis City, had been tasked to cooperate with the local police in investigating the matter. It said that there are lot of fraternities and gangs and that it is major problems especially that there conducting their activities outside the school campus which is already beyond control. Parents have yet report to the police the alleged abduction of their son who was already managed to safety return to their house. The kidnapping incident reportedly took place at 8 a.m somewhere in Cogon Market area. As told by the witness the victim about to go home to Pinikitan in Barangay Camaman-an when somebody pointed a knife at him and forced him inside a black van. It said also that fraternity and gang like activities are strictly prohibited in their school and that were now conducting an information drive among students against the consequences in joining fraternities.

Another fire hits Mandaue

Another fire razed 20 houses and eight business establishments in Barangay Labogon. Firefighters received the alarm on the Labogon fire ay 10:41 p.m and were told it started in a furniture manufacturing company but quickly spread to neighboring houses and businesses. All 28 structures or an estimated P800, 000 worth of properties were wiped out. No one was injured. It took firefighters san hour to control the flames and six hours to extinguish it. The Labogon barangay captain said that there were 51 families left homeless by the fire and officials are still distinguishing who among them are house owners, renters and sharers. The mayor of the said city will prioritize giving food to all fire victims for two to three days because all their cooking equipments were destroyed.
